Information Letter
The Department of Culture and Tourism of Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv Regional Organizing and Methodic Center of Culture and Arts, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, hold the Festival of Traditional Folk Culture Pokut-2012 from 18 till 21 May, 2012, in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.
We invite the folk groups and performers representing authentic and elaborate (search-and-performance) forms of performing various folklore genres (singing, instrumental music, dances) to participate in the Festival. The Festival program includes art events in the concert halls and outdoors in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, contests of participants, workshops, informal interaction of the participants, craftwork exhibitions and the research-and-practice conference discussing the issues of existence, preservation and regeneration of the traditional culture.
The Organizing Committee of the Festival defrays all expenses for accommodation, meals and transport services for participants during the Festival. The travel to Kharkiv and back shall be at the participants' expense.
The groups and performers wishing to participate in the Festival events need to send their e-mail to the organizers of the Festival, and we will send you the Statute of the Festival for familiarizing and the application forms. Or you may read the requirements for participation in the Festival events and the forms of the needed documents online (the Pokut Festival page of the KROMCCA web site).
